  • The Board Examinations are essential and prestigious, both for the student and the school. The parents are advised to ensure that the child is not distracted and neglected at home. However, his/her viewing of TV, playing with others, etc. are to be monitored and supervised.

committing any of the wrongdoings listed below:

  • A student guilty of gross disobedience, misconduct or criminal activity;

  • Cause, attempt to cause, or threaten to cause physical injury to another person.

  • Possession of any firearm, knife, explosive, or other dangerous objects.

  • Unlawful possession, use, sale, or furnish, or being under the influence of any narcotic substance such as alcoholic beverage or intoxicants of any kind.

  • Commit or attempt to commit theft or extortion.

  • Any pupil who brings the school to disrepute as understood by the school authorities. Pupils are expected to uphold the good name of the school at all times.

  • Indulgence in intentional harassment, threat, intimidation, or creating a hostile educational environment.

   Dress Code

  • Students are expected to dress appropriately for school. The School uniform has to be worn daily. Under no circumstances will any difference in the pattern of the uniforms be allowed. Students dressed untidily or inappropriately will be sent home.

  • On Physical Training days, the students must wear the prescribed PT uniform and white sports shoes.

  • Student Identity Card must be worn all the time.

  • The prescribed uniform for boys is half-sleeved white shirts, navy blue trousers, red and white striped necktie, navy blue socks, black shoes, the school badge and the school belt. Students up to class IV must wear shorts, except during winter when they will be allowed to wear full trousers. Boys from Class-V onwards must wear full trousers only.

  • The prescribed uniform for girls is a white shirt with knee-length navy blue pinafores, red and white striped necktie and red ribbons, navy blue socks, black shoes, the school badge and the school belt.

  • Black shoes are the norm for both boys and girls, but black waterproof shoes are permitted during the monsoon season.

  • During winters, boys should wear 'V'- necked full-sleeved pullovers. Girls should wear front-buttoned full sleeve sweaters.

  • Boys are not allowed to grow their hair long. Hairstyles must be neat, clean and well-groomed.

  • It is not merely sufficient to wear the prescribed uniform. It is more important to wear it correctly. Unbuttoned collars, unknotted and loosened ties, unpolished shoes and general untidiness convey a feeling of sloppiness and portray the school and the student in bad light. It is imperative that all students should give proper attention to personal cleanliness, grooming, and neatness.

  • Please note that a serious view will be taken of ties not fully drawn up to the collar or the knot improperly done. Shirts worn with the top button undone and the knot of the tie pulled down an inch or two is a sloppy trend that careless students indulge in. Please note that ties will have to be fastened correctly.

  • Parents are requested not to send their children in formal clothes during their birthdays. Even on birthdays, students must come in the school uniform. Non-uniform clothes tend to distract the students and teachers from their school work.

  • Students, who fail to meet the minimum acceptable standards of cleanliness, neatness, and decency shall be subject to appropriate disciplinary measures.

   Recommendations To Parents

  • The primary duty of the parents is to inculcate the values in their children. At home, more than any other place, parents teach by their examples, reverence for God and respect for the dignity of others. They are also tremendously influential in cultivating among their children the virtues of love for neighbor, justice, generosity, loyalty, industry and honesty which are essential to the children’s upbringing.

  • Parents are an integral part of the school, and the school expects them to co-operate in enforcing all guidelines that will benefit the child and assist in the smooth functioning of the school.

  •  Parents should understand that a good amount of steady and serious work is required for success. They should see that their children prepare their lessons and take an active interest and participate in activities of the school.

  • Television viewing should be regulated and at least two to three hours of home study should be put in by the children.

  • The School reserves the right to change the section of the students.

  • Parents are requested to maintain decorum and respect while talking to staff members.

  • Parents should not merely sign report cards but examine them thoroughly as they are the yardstick for evaluating your child's strengths and weaknesses.

  • The school will not be responsible for lost articles. A practical precautionary measure is to label all articles of the child, e.g. lunch box, water bottle, and raincoat.

  • If a child is likely to be absent for a long period owing to illness, the Principal should be informed in writing, along with the doctor's recommendation for the rest.

  • Private tuitions are strongly discouraged. It is a practice that the school does not approve of and should be desisted with.

  • Parents are strictly advised to refrain from soliciting private tuition from the school faculty. Students found taking private tuition from the staff will be asked to leave the school. The teacher will also face severe indictment that could include suspension.

  • Parents are strictly forbidden to entertain teachers at their residence; neither should they give gifts or monetary rewards.

  • Parents cannot meet their wards or the teachers during school hours.

  • It is advised that you should plan your holidays at least a week after the scheduled closure of the school.

  • Students refraining from any examination or tests will not be remained or be tested again.

  • Leave for marriage and other family functions will not be entertained if they coincide with the examination schedule. Parents are advised to schedule important family functions to prevent them from overlapping or coinciding with the examinations.

  • No early leave will be granted during Ancillary Examinations/Assessment days.

  • Parents should not make any holiday plans for at least a week before and after the examinations, for it is during this period that practical and ancillary exams are held. Also, unforeseen events could necessitate the prolonging of the examination schedule.

  • Absence from the examination involves a total loss of marks in that subject, and this could have a great bearing on the student's chances of promotion to the next class.

  • Students must obtain an exam permit card to sit for the examinations. Students without an exam permit card will not be allowed to write their exams.

  • Exam permit cards will be issued to the students only after all their fees and dues are cleared. At the end of every examination, parents are requested to download the progress report card from the school website. Hard copies of the report card will also be given to the children.

  • Report cards of students who have outstanding dues and library books with them will be withheld.

  • Students using unfair means during any of the examinations will be awarded zero in the subject, parents of such students will be called to the school where both parent and child will be asked to give an undertaking that if the same is repeated in the future, then the child will be given Leaving Certificate without any explanation.

  • All excursions and camps form an integral part of the teaching and learning program. These activities are arranged to provide students with stimulating, practical, relevant experience to reinforce learning and important social experiences.

  • The school views these excursions and camps to be extremely valuable and worthy of the holistic development of the children.

  • Students should carry simple snacks and drinking water.

  • Although all precautions are taken in providing the best facilities and making the picnic as comfortable and memorable as ever, hitches could occur owing to circumstances beyond our control.

  • Although the students generally return by 7 p.m. at the latest, there could be delays owing to traffic congestions, vehicular breakdowns, and other causes. Parents are requested to make a special note of this.

  • The Principal, on security grounds and any other reason, on his sole discretion can cancel the picnic at the last minute.

      Detention

  • Students who do not take their homework seriously and do not complete their assigned homework will be warned twice, failing which they will be detained at school after school hours in order to complete their assignments.
